Facing the disease

Today I want to share my feelings about Coronavirus. The virus spread throughout the world. Many people died, lost job, or lost family. Also, many people feel sad about these dead people, but some people still do not know how to protect themselves and others. They still keep going to other countries or cities. I think they did not realize how harmful the virus disease is. Eventually, Hawaii began to have this disease, and everyone started to snap up daily necessities, such as canned food, toilet paper, noodle, and rice. Jokingly, I do not know why many people snap up toilet paper and make them sold out at all of the supermarkets. For other people, such as the retired, the elderly, or those in need, they do not know where to buy these necessities. For students, when we entered spring break, the government released news that all the students would stay home and study online. A few days later, all the news outlets and websites all posted news about the virus. Everyone started to worry about their health, jobs, and food. As for me, I am very worried about how I can study at home with my little daughter. Will the virus spread, and how long will it take to control the disease? However, today is our first day of class online, I felt a little strange. My daughter kept asking me questions, and I could not concentrate on listening to the teacher. Fortunately, my ESL teacher and Math teacher were very kind, they kept sending me emails and tried their best to teach me. Also, my husband who needs work from home is the best teacher assistant, too. He tried to teach me how to type, send email, and helped me answer all the questions if I did not understand. I thank them for their patience and for giving me their support. I will try my best to do well in class. Moreover, Ala Moana closed today because of the government’s order to shelter-in-place, and all people must stay home unless necessary. In my opinion, my classmates, please stay home, wash your hands, keep clean, and do not travel. I know it is a very difficult time to face the disaster brought on by this virus, so we need do our best to stop it from spreading. I hope somebody will find a solution to this pandemic quickly and people can return to their normal lives.
